CARB-X is seeking a Chief of Research and Development who will lead the execution of CARB-X’s product development strategy and manage a high-performing virtual research and development (R&D) team. The Chief of R&D leads the team that identifies and translates strategic priorities into publicly announced funding calls, after approval from our board, contributing robust pre-award processes and investment recommendations, while also overseeing post-award support and portfolio transitions.
The Chief of R&D works closely with the Executive Team to strengthen CARB-X’s global scientific influence and ensure the CARB-X portfolio is positioned for successful progression into clinical and regulatory pathways, as well as market entry.
The position can be entirely virtual, based in any location that will support very active collaboration with colleagues in Europe and the United States.
